‘Medical booked’ – Liverpool ‘agree all aspects’ of deal for next summer signing, star ‘very happy’ after snubbing rivals.

Liverpool is making swift progress with their summer transfer activities following their Premier League title victory.

The Reds are not wasting any time in their summer transfer dealings after being crowned champions of the Premier League.

Having secured their 20th domestic title in Arne Slot’s inaugural season, Liverpool is eager to achieve back-to-back league titles by enhancing their squad during the summer transfer window.

Although Liverpool chose not to sign any players in January, Slot hinted that preparations for summer deals were already underway.

Jeremie Frimpong has been confirmed as a Liverpool player, and the club is optimistic about finalizing agreements for Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz. These three acquisitions could bring the club’s total spending close to £200 million.

The Anfield side has already generated approximately £22.5 million from player sales, including Trent Alexander-Arnold’s transfer to Real Madrid and Caoimhin Kelleher’s move to Premier League rivals Brentford.

Liverpool ‘agree all aspects’ of Milos Kerkez deal

Liverpool is progressing with negotiations for both Kerkez and Wirtz, but the transfer for the Hungarian left-back appears to be well underway.

As reported by TBR Football, Liverpool has “agreed all aspects of a deal for Kerkez” and has scheduled his medical examination.

Graeme Bailey, the outlet’s chief correspondent, stated: “I understand Kerkez is very pleased to finalize the deal – he received interest from several rival clubs in the past month but made it clear that his preference was to join Liverpool.”

Currently, Kerkez is on international duty with Hungary. He is expected to play alongside Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai on Friday night as Hungary hosts Sweden in an international friendly.

While an official transfer fee has not been disclosed, it is widely believed that the deal will cost Liverpool between £40 million and £45 million.

Kerkez participated in every Premier League match for Bournemouth last season, scoring twice and providing assists.

The arrival of Milos Kerkez will likely signal the end for either Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas.

Liverpool currently has a strong lineup at left-back, featuring both Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas. While Robertson is the primary choice, he has only one year left on his contract with Liverpool, whereas Tsimikas has two years remaining on his deal.

At just 21 years old, Kerkez will help secure the future of this position for the Reds. However, his imminent arrival will likely mean the departure of either Robertson or Tsimikas, with Tsimikas being the more probable candidate unless Robertson decides that leaving the club is the best option for his career.

Last month, the Scotland international expressed his desire for a new contract with the club.

During an event, he shared with fans: “I have only got a year left, so I hope all you guys can help me with making the same noise around a new contract as you did with Mo and Virgil’s! I’ve had eight wonderful years so far and I have a year left.

I am not as young as I once was but I love this club and I have had some great memories here, so let’s see what the future holds.

“I still believe I can produce good performances and some really good performances and I think I have done that this season.

“So I still think I can perform at the highest level, and if I can achieve that, then that is where I belong. Hopefully, I can remain here for many more years to come.
