Liverpool is poised to acquire an African winger, with a fee already settled, as Romano discloses a ‘guaranteed exit’ from Anfield.

Reports indicate that Liverpool is on the verge of signing a skilled Senegalese winger this summer, as Fabrizio Romano provides an update regarding Darwin Nunez.

The Reds have made a strong start in the summer transfer market, having already completed a deal for Jeremie Frimpong, who will take over from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Additionally, Frimpong’s former teammate at Bayer Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz, is also nearing a transfer, with Liverpool working to finalize a fee for the German international.

Furthermore, it is only a ‘matter of time’ before Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez joins, as the Reds are currently in discussions to agree on a price with their Premier League counterparts.

There are speculations that Liverpool may also pursue a centre-forward, with Chelsea target Hugo Ekitike being one of the players linked to Anfield.

However, the Reds are also focusing on acquiring young talent, as French journalist Nabil Djellit has reported that Liverpool is set to finalize a deal for Sidy Barhama Ndiaye from the Diambars academy for approximately €1 million.

Djellit shared on X: “Info: Liverpool showcased interest during the last #CANU17 in Sidy Barhama Ndiaye.

The Senegalese winger (born in 2009) is expected to leave the Diambars academy to (likely) sign with #Liverpool. The transfer is estimated at €1 million. Progress is being made in Senegal. Well done.”

To balance their finances after significant expenditures, Liverpool will need to offload some players this summer, with striker Nunez likely being one of those to depart.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update late Thursday, indicating that Liverpool striker Nunez – who was acquired for around £85 million – is a ‘guaranteed exit’ this summer.

Romano posted on X: “Darwin Nunez remains a guaranteed exit at Liverpool this summer, with Saudi Pro League clubs showing interest since January.

It is also understood that Napoli has made contact in recent days, with Nunez on their shortlist and further discussions expected soon. Darwin is open to both Saudi and European options.

Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison believes that the Reds are poised for “one of the best transfer windows in a long time” if they can finalize deals for Wirtz and Kerkez.

When asked whether Liverpool should pursue additional signings beyond Wirtz and Kerkez, Hutchison stated to Gambling Zone: “I mean, just securing those two would already make it one of the best windows in years.

“If you’re a Liverpool supporter and those three players were to join… Frimpong’s deal is already completed. But adding Wirtz and Kerkez to the existing squad would make for an incredible window.

“Additionally, a significant achievement this window was retaining Mo Salah and Van Dijk. These are exceptional players who are irreplaceable. There may still be opportunities in the window ahead.

“There have been discussions about Luis Diaz potentially moving on, as he could generate substantial funds, but I wouldn’t sell him.

He’s an outstanding player, and some of the finest performances from Liverpool last season came when Diaz played as a false nine.

“Moreover, by not making hasty decisions, they still have the opportunity for their young talents to develop.

Slot demonstrated this last season by avoiding panic buys. He had the foresight to consider how to improve beyond Salah.

“Why would I want to recruit a centre-back when we have Konate, Quansah, and Van Dijk? Why bring in a goalkeeper when we have Alisson and Kelleher, plus Mamardashvili returning from loan next season, who will feel like a new signing?

“Wirtz alone would represent a signing unlike any Liverpool has made before. Historically, they haven’t spent over 100 million on a player.

That would be a significant statement, even if such high-profile signings are becoming more common. But yes, Liverpool could secure him and primarily maintain their current squad.
