BREAKING NEWS: Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal summer transfer bombshell – ‘On his way’…

Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly set to join Arsenal this summer, according to a recent Portuguese report.

The Sporting Lisbon striker is anticipated to leave the club after securing the league title.

With only one game remaining for Sporting CP, reports suggest that Arsenal has emerged as the frontrunner to acquire the talented striker.

As Sporting CP braces for significant changes following the departure of manager Rúben Amorim, Gyokeres’ transfer to Arsenal appears increasingly likely, as indicated by Portuguese media on Monday morning.

The Swedish forward recently scored in a 2-0 win over Vitoria, marking his 53rd goal of the season and his 96th overall for Sporting in just 101 appearances.

Given his impressive form, there is a strong possibility that Gyokeres could reach a century of goals for the club in the upcoming Taca de Portugal final against Benfica.

Amidst the buildup to this match, speculation about his departure is intensifying.

The 26-year-old has attracted interest from Premier League clubs, particularly Arsenal and Manchester United, as both teams seek to bolster their attacking options.

Initially, United seemed to have the upper hand due to Ruben Amorim’s close relationship with Gyokeres.

However, the situation has shifted in favor of Arsenal, with sporting director Andrea Berta reportedly a keen admirer of the striker.

A recent headline in the Portuguese newspaper O Jogo suggests that a transfer is imminent, stating: ‘Swede on his way to Arsenal.’

It is believed that a £58.9 million agreement has been reached between the two clubs, pending only the finalization of personal terms.

Should this prove to be accurate, it would mark an excellent beginning to the summer transfer window for Arsenal.

The Gunners have struggled with insufficient centre-forward options this season, and Gyokeres has been a primary target for them for quite a while.

The transfer market is unpredictable, and nothing is finalized until an official announcement is made.

However, Arsenal fans will certainly be thrilled if the Swedish player returns to England with the club.
