Reports indicate that Liverpool have engaged in discussions regarding the potential signing of Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, who is also being pursued by Arsenal and Manchester United.

Ndiaye has excelled at Everton over the last two seasons, contributing to 20 goals in 73 matches across all competitions.

The promising forward has garnered attention from various clubs, and he initially seemed poised to join the Saudi Pro League this summer.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed on Tuesday that he has chosen to forgo a move to the Saudi Pro League in favor of remaining in the Premier League.

Romano stated on X: ‘Understand Iliman Ndiaye has decided not to proceed with Al Hilal deal: he wants to stay in Premier League.

‘No to Saudi Arabia move despite big money on the table; Everton winger wants to continue in Premier League, decision made.’

This decision has opened up opportunities for Ndiaye to join a Big Six club, with Liverpool reportedly among the interested parties.

The Reds are still in need of at least one additional winger during this summer’s transfer window, and they are also targeting PSG’s Bradley Barcola.

Barcola has emerged as a primary target for Liverpool following their unsuccessful attempt to acquire Yan Diomande, although reaching an agreement on a fee with PSG may prove challenging.

Despite the winger expressing his intention to leave PSG and not extend his contract beyond 2028, his current club is said to be demanding £145m, while Liverpool is only willing to offer around £100m.

This situation could prompt Liverpool to consider alternatives, and Caught Offside reports that the Reds have ‘held talks’ regarding the signing of Ndiaye, with Manchester United and Arsenal also expressing interest.

Iliman Ndiaye’s situation has implications for the Bradley Barcola transfer.

Reports indicate that Liverpool has a ‘genuine interest’ in acquiring Ndiaye, which may suggest concerns about finalizing a deal for Barcola. Alternatively, this interest could be a strategy to pressure PSG into reducing their asking price for a player who is eager to leave.

Additionally, it has been reported that Everton is seeking approximately £75m from Arsenal and Manchester United for Ndiaye, but they are likely to demand an even higher fee from Liverpool.

A source for the publication stated: “Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal have all engaged in discussions with Ndiaye’s representatives. Everton’s asking price of £75m is excessive, but it’s a situation to monitor as the player is very eager to make a move.

“He has opted against a transfer to Saudi Arabia as he wishes to continue competing at the highest level. I find it hard to believe that Everton would sell to Liverpool, and there have been no direct negotiations between the clubs yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the asking price for them ends up being significantly higher.”
