Liverpool possible lineup vs Chelsea as 5 changes made, Elliott and Endo start; amid Federico Chiesa decision…

Liverpool’s anticipated lineup against Chelsea features five changes, including Jota replacing Diaz, while the rest of the team remains the same.

As the reigning Premier League champions, Liverpool visits Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, who is expected to honor them with a guard of honor after their title win against Tottenham last weekend.

With four matches left, the Reds are essentially enjoying a celebratory phase, especially after Arsenal’s recent loss to Bournemouth, which allows them to potentially widen their lead.

Coach Arne Slot has indicated he will rotate the squad to give opportunities to some less frequently used players.

However, it is unlikely there will be a change in goal, as Caoimhin Kelleher, who could step in for Alisson Becker, is expected to leave this summer, making it more logical to keep the first-choice goalkeeper for the rest of the season.

In defense, Slot may opt for two changes: Jarell Quansah is eager for a start and could take Ibrahima Konate’s place, while Kostas Tsimikas is set to replace Andy Robertson at left-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold remaining at right-back amid concerns over Conor Bradley’s fitness.

The midfield presents an interesting decision for Slot, as Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai are his preferred trio.

It is unlikely all three will be rested, so we anticipate Gravenberch and Szoboszlai will sit out, allowing the in-form Mac Allister to retain his position.

Curtis Jones is expected to be included, and Harvey Elliott should be given a chance to play as the No.10.

The front three presents a more complex decision. While Mohamed Salah is likely to keep his usual position, the selection of the other two spots is less certain.

Although we would like to see Federico Chiesa get a chance, it may be too much for him to transition from barely making the squad to starting, so he will likely remain on the bench for now.

Ultimately, a conventional front three is anticipated. Cody Gakpo will continue on the left, and we predict Diogo Jota will start in the center instead of Luis Diaz, resulting in a total of five changes.

The predicted Liverpool line-up against Chelsea is: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Jones, Mac Allister; Salah, Elliott, Gakpo; Jota.
