Jurrien Timber’s message to Arsenal is crystal clear as he awaits his recovery from injury, leaving no doubt about his intentions upon his return.

After suffering back-to-back defeats against Aston Villa and Bayern Munich, Arsenal secured a crucial victory against Wolves on Saturday evening, propelling them back to the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners displayed their professionalism at Molineux, bouncing back from their previous setbacks.

While several Premier League teams have faced injury concerns, Wolves have been particularly hard hit. Pedro Neto, Matheus Cunha, and Craig Dawson were among the players ruled out, while Rayan Ait-Nouri and Hwang Hee-Chan were only able to make cameo appearances.

This injury crisis was evident in the match, as Arsenal dominated proceedings. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring just before half time with a clever and precise finish from inside the box.

Although Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina came close to finding the net for the hosts, it was Arsenal’s captain, Martin Odegaard, who sealed the victory with a goal from a tight angle deep into added time.

Arsenal’s victory propelled Mikel Arteta’s team to 74 points, surpassing Manchester City by a point and goal difference compared to Liverpool. Despite concerns about fatigue, Arteta only made three changes to the starting XI, with Jakub Kiwior replacing Takehiro Tomiyasu due to an injury picked up against Bayern.

In terms of injuries, Arsenal has been relatively lucky lately, with Jurrien Timber being the only player in the treatment room.

However, he is nearing a return to action. The Netherlands international has been training with the team for several weeks, and Arteta has now confirmed the timeline for his comeback.

“He’s set to feature in a game with the under-21s against Blackburn on Monday, and after that, we will assess his condition,” Arteta stated during a press conference on Friday. “He’s been performing well in training, but it’s that final step we need to be sure about before he returns to action.”

Timber seems eager to return to the pitch alongside Arteta, showing enthusiasm by sharing Arsenal’s victory post on Instagram with clapping hands emojis.

His presence in the upcoming matches could be crucial for the team as they face Everton on May 19. If Timber remains injury-free after Monday’s game, he may have the opportunity to play again before the season ends.
