There seems to be a belief that Arne Slot never fully relied on the inexperienced youth who made significant strides under Jurgen Klopp prior. He possesses the potential to mirror Coutinho’s style, who played with remarkable intensity during his peak at Liverpool. This is a standard that Wirtz is still aiming to achieve.

This young midfielder could evolve into a player with the physical attributes that Slot’s Liverpool lacked last season, while also establishing himself as a clever and effective playmaker.

Coutinho was once a star at Liverpool, yet he was not highly regarded upon his arrival from Inter Milan for just £8.5m in January 2013. He made considerable progress throughout his time at Liverpool.

Even though we won’t be seeing much of Martinez in the next year, as he has spent another year in his native country earning his place, there is a strong feeling that he could emerge as a significant superstar in the future.
