It seems only fair that Liverpool seeks some retribution, potentially through Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian winger’s contract extends until 2027, making him an ideal alternative to Yan Diomande for the Reds.

According to Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon, Liverpool has reached out regarding a potential deal to acquire Vinicius Jr, actively seeking updates about the Brazilian.

The talented winger has yet to finalize a new contract with Real Madrid and has temporarily stepped away from negotiations, as his representatives see no point in discussing a new deal given the current gap between both sides.

Alvarez de Mon shared on his YouTube channel that Liverpool has reacted favorably to the player’s camp’s outreach and may be preparing for a free transfer in 2027.

“Vinicius’s representatives, of course, must fulfill their role… to explore the stance of other clubs that might be interested in signing Vinicius, whether in 2026 or 2027.

“We are primarily discussing Premier League clubs. In those initial inquiries, one club stood out for its positive response to their interest in Vinicius, but the financials align for 2027. That club is Liverpool.”

Regarded as “one of the best players in the world” by Carlo Ancelotti, Vinicius Jr has the potential to elevate Liverpool back into the ranks of title contenders and possible European champions.
