Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has disclosed Arsenal’s plans following the acquisition of Christos Tzolis, indicating that they are now focusing on Morgan Rogers.

After clinching the Premier League title but falling short in the Champions League final, Arsenal has been proactive in the transfer market to enhance their squad.

This summer, the Gunners have secured permanent signings of Piero Hincapie and Illan Meslier, and they are on the verge of finalizing Tzolis’s transfer after David Ornstein reported on Thursday that an agreement has been reached for the winger’s move to the Emirates.

Additionally, Arsenal is pursuing a new midfielder, eyeing Newcastle United’s standout Bruno Guimaraes, but they are also expected to bolster their attacking options in the upcoming weeks. Romano has confirmed that Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is their ‘next major target’.

Arsenal nearing ‘full agreement’ for Morgan Rogers

Romano has indicated that the Gunners are prioritizing Rogers over PSG’s Bradley Barcola and are close to achieving a ‘full agreement’ with the player regarding personal terms.

“Arsenal are not done yet at all,” Romano mentioned on his YouTube channel.

“They will remain very active in the market. We need to monitor the situation with William Saliba, as his injury seems to be quite serious. In midfield, it is already known that they want to strengthen, and it is also crucial to highlight the situation concerning another winger.

“I stand by my information. I am aware that there have been numerous reports linking Arsenal to Bradley Barcola. It is a peculiar situation because, for several weeks, reports indicated Barcola was unavailable. Then, suddenly, the narrative shifted to Barcola and Arsenal, while no one was mentioning Barcola in connection with Liverpool. Liverpool continues to show significant interest in Bradley Barcola.

“Currently, Arsenal is not in negotiations for Bradley Barcola. There are no ongoing discussions. According to my sources, the player Arsenal is keen to acquire as their new winger is Morgan Rogers.
