Fabrizio Romano suggests that Arsenal is poised to pursue a £130m star following the hijacking of the Rogers deal.

Arsenal Initiates Contact Regarding £130m Star Deal

Romano has reported that Arsenal has reached out in recent days about a potential acquisition of a £130m star after Chelsea intervened in the deal to sign Morgan Rogers.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal may seek to acquire a £130m superstar for Mikel Arteta after Chelsea disrupted their plans to sign Morgan Rogers.

Arsenal’s summer transfer activities have begun to gain momentum recently, having secured the free transfer of goalkeeper Illan Meslier and agreeing to a £34m deal with Club Brugge for prolific winger Christos Tzolis, who will replace the departing Leandro Trossard.

Despite the addition of the Greek forward, Arteta is still keen on acquiring a high-profile left-sided attacker, with Rogers being the primary target.

Sources from GIVEMESPORT indicated earlier this week that the Gunners were prepared to intensify club-to-club negotiations and present an initial offer to Villa for the 23-year-old, but they have been outmaneuvered by their London rivals.

Chelsea has finalized a £117m agreement with Villa for the former Middlesbrough player, who is set to undergo a medical on Monday following the World Cup.

Rogers will reunite with one of his closest friends in football, Cole Palmer, at Stamford Bridge, with Blues manager Xabi Alonso playing a crucial role in the transfer.

Arsenal must now determine their next course of action.

Romano Suggests Arsenal’s Interest in Julian Alvarez

Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez has been labeled a ‘dream’ summer transfer target for Arsenal and Arteta as they aim to bolster their attacking options.

While he may not be a direct replacement for Rogers, the Gunners clearly possess the financial capability to make a significant signing as they strive not only to defend their first Premier League title since 2004 but also to secure their inaugural Champions League title after coming so close last season.

On Saturday night, Romano provided an update regarding Arsenal and Julian Alvarez on his YouTube channel, suggesting that the Gunners might pursue the Argentina international, who had a £130m bid from Real Madrid turned down this summer, later in the transfer window.

He stated: “Another point to consider: it’s a different matter, but regarding Arsenal, pay close attention to the situation involving Julian Alvarez and Barcelona. The tension between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid is significant, as I have been indicating for weeks.

“Clearly, if Julian Alvarez is unable to join Barcelona due to Atletico’s reluctance to sell him to them, Atletico is now asserting that they do not wish to sell him at all. However, if a rift develops between Julian and Atletico, and they opt to sell him in August, Arsenal may still express interest and monitor Julian Alvarez’s situation closely.

“Thus, we need to keep a close watch on Arsenal, especially since losing Morgan Rogers is a considerable setback for them.”

Arsenal Initiates Contact Regarding Yan Diomande Transfer

In addition to Alvarez, Romano has reported that Arsenal has reached out in recent days about a potential transfer for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.

Earlier in the summer, Liverpool had pinpointed the 19-year-old as their top choice to replace Mohamed Salah, but the player opted to pursue a move to Paris Saint-Germain instead.

Nevertheless, PSG has yet to finalize a deal with the Bundesliga club, which is asking for a substantial fee for their valuable player, prompting the Gunners to renew their interest in a transfer.
