(Video) Footage reveals Mo Salah’s actions after the final whistle in Frankfurt last night.

Although Mo Salah did not score among Liverpool’s five goals in their decisive victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday night, his presence was still significant in the post-match discussions.

Having been benched and only entering the game for the last 16 minutes of regular time, the Egyptian could not increase his unusually low season tally of three goals, despite having a few opportunities late in the match.

Initially, some journalists reported that the 33-year-old went ‘straight down the tunnel’ at the end of the match and appeared to be upset, which may have caused concern among Reds fans when he removed references to the club from his header image and profile picture on X.

Salah was seen applauding Liverpool supporters before exiting the pitch.

On Thursday morning, Lewis Steele posted on X to share footage that clarifies Salah’s actions immediately following the match last night.

The 18-second video captures Liverpool’s number 11 taking a moment to acknowledge the traveling Reds fans before heading towards the tunnel, with the journalist emphasizing that the winger did not rush to the away dressing room at Deutsche Bank Park.

Salah deserves our support during this challenging period for him.

The footage should dispel any misunderstandings that Salah simply left in a huff as soon as the final whistle sounded in Frankfurt, and it’s understandable that the Egyptian might feel frustrated that things aren’t going his way at the moment, unlike during his eight years on Merseyside.

We believe that no one is more critical of the 33-year-old than he is of himself, and as a member of Arne Slot’s leadership group, he feels a duty to be one of the Reds’ leaders on the field.

What should not be overlooked is the significant impact that the tragic loss of Diogo Jota over the summer has had on our number 11, who was visibly emotional when his late teammate’s name was chanted at Anfield during the season’s opening night in August.

Naturally, we hope Salah’s goals and assists for the current season will increase, but this player does not owe Liverpool anything for the remarkable consistency he has shown since joining in 2017.

During the most challenging period of his career with the Reds so far, the Egyptian King deserves our support, and we would be thrilled to see that radiant smile return as he celebrates scoring for his club.

He may receive criticism in the replies, but it’s important to mention that Mo Salah applauded the fans before quickly heading down the tunnel last night.

A since-deleted tweet I posted suggested he went *straight* down the tunnel, as that was my initial observation. I overlooked him clapping. My apologies, I will strive to do better
