The anticipated return of Bukayo Saka from injury is projected to provide Arsenal with a substantial advantage as they approach the final stretch of the season, based on statistics regarding his contributions to the team.

Arsenal has been issued a fine by UEFA, while the response to the Gunners’ innovative approach to the ‘North London Forever’ issue remains awaited.

Latest update on Mikel Merino’s injury as World Cup aspirations loom

A new report regarding the condition of Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino has surfaced from Spain, as he strives to recover following his foot surgery.

Arsenal receives a significant double injury boost ahead of the clash with Newcastle.

Riccardo Calafiori and Bukayo Saka are poised to rejoin the Arsenal squad for their match against Newcastle United this weekend, providing a double injury boost for Mikel Arteta.

During Mikel Arteta’s pre-match press conference regarding Newcastle United, he shared encouraging news for Arsenal supporters, confirming that he anticipates Bukayo Saka and Riccardo Calafiori will be included in the squad.

The only negative aspect was Arteta’s announcement that Jurrien Timber remains unavailable, and Mikel Merino is also not expected to return. Consequently, the Gunners will still face a few absences this weekend.

“No [new issues],” Arteta stated. “Bukayo [Saka] is likely to be in the squad. So that’s good news. Riccardo [Calafiori] is in the squad, but Jurrien [Timber] is not.”

Saka has been absent from Arsenal’s last two Champions League matches, two Premier League fixtures, and an FA Cup game since his last appearance, during which the Gunners have suffered three losses, drawn one, and secured only one victory without him.

Calafiori did participate in the FA Cup and the Champions League victory over Sporting CP, but he has since missed two defeats and one draw.

Both players are evidently crucial to Arsenal, and their return to the squad will be a significant advantage. The same will hold true for Timber when he eventually makes his comeback.

Arsenal’s losses to Bournemouth and Manchester City have left the team in urgent need of victories as they approach the season’s conclusion.

If the Gunners fail to win all five of their remaining Premier League matches, City could overtake them for the title with five wins of their own. Regarding the Champions League, Arsenal is set to face Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the semi-finals next Wednesday.

First and foremost, the Gunners will host Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium in the league on Saturday, while Newcastle contends with five injury/suspension absentees of their own.
