Report: Liverpool ready to make another signing after Jeremie Frimpong…

Liverpool is poised to secure another signing following the acquisition of Jeremie Frimpong.

The Reds are on the verge of finalizing their first summer signing, with Frimpong set to join for €35 million (£29.5m).

Reports indicate that the Dutch player is scheduled for a medical examination in England prior to signing a five-year contract.

This development comes shortly after the announcement of a new deal for Conor Bradley, and both players are anticipated to collaborate in filling the void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure.

Richard Hughes and Arne Slot have successfully completed their initial summer signing, but the transfer window is expected to be active, with attention now turning to a second acquisition.

Liverpool is intensifying its pursuit of Milos Kerkez following the agreement for Frimpong.

According to Caught Offside, the Reds have identified Bournemouth’s left-back Milos Kerkez as their next primary target now that the Frimpong deal is nearing completion.

The report mentions that Bournemouth has placed a £45 million valuation on the Hungarian defender, and negotiations for his transfer are already underway.

Anfield Watch previously disclosed that discussions regarding Kerkez’s signing commenced before Christmas, suggesting that a deal could be imminent.

Bournemouth has confirmed the departure of Dean Huijsen, a former Liverpool target, making it plausible for a deal for Kerkez to be finalized before the Premier League season concludes.

Should the 21-year-old join Liverpool, it is likely that either Andrew Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas will be sold, with Tsimikas appearing to be the more probable candidate, as Leeds has shown interest.

If an agreement is reached in the coming weeks, Slot’s team will have secured both a new left-back and right-back—two of the club’s top priorities—before the official opening of the transfer window.

Several additional roles, such as striker and holding midfielder, are expected to be addressed, with Frimpong and Kerkez potentially being the initial players in a series of transfers at Anfield this summer.
