Liverpool appears to be in a strong position to secure their top target for the left-back position, as reports indicate that a related second deal is being organized and a bid is being prepared.

Strong evidence emerges that Liverpool will secure their key signing soon.

An important signal reveals that Liverpool is likely to secure their leading signing, with the connected deal progressing quickly.

The Reds are currently the frontrunners to clinch the Premier League title, but recent performances have highlighted weaknesses in Arne Slot’s squad.

Liverpool has exited all three cup competitions, suffering defeats to Newcastle in the League Cup final and PSG in the Champions League Round of 16.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool is preparing for a significant summer transfer window after having signed only one player, Federico Chiesa, in the last three windows.

Although Giorgi Mamardashvili has been acquired, he will not join until the summer.

The club is looking to strengthen multiple positions, with today’s focus on the left-back role.

Andy Robertson, now 31, is showing signs of decline and is struggling to make an impact on the game.

His lack of assists in the Premier League this season highlights his diminishing influence.

Liverpool’s primary target to succeed Robertson is Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

The 21-year-old Hungarian switched agents earlier this year with the intention of facilitating a move by 2025.

Kerkez was signed by Bournemouth under the guidance of Richard Hughes, who is now Liverpool’s sporting director. A recent report from the Athletic confirmed that Kerkez is Liverpool’s main target for the left-back position.

Furthermore, Football Insider has reported that the likelihood of Liverpool acquiring Kerkez has increased, as Bournemouth is preparing for his departure by seeking a replacement.

The report indicates that Bournemouth is “lining up a move” for Maxim De Cuyper, a left-back from Club Brugge, and has already prepared a bid for him.

De Cuyper is seen as the likely replacement for Kerkez, while January acquisition Julio Soler, 20, serves as a less seasoned alternative that Andoni Iraloa can utilize when Kerkez departs.

Milos Kerkez’s valuation has been clarified, with a significant meeting on the horizon.

According to Liverpool reporter James Pearce, Bournemouth is seeking approximately “three times” the £15.5 million they invested to acquire the full-back from AZ Alkmaar.

This aligns with information shared with TEAMtalk, where sources indicate that the transfer fee is anticipated to fall within the £40 million to £45 million range.

Additionally, our insider, Fraser Fletcher, has learned that Kerkez is set to have an important meeting with his agents this week to discuss his future.

Those familiar with the situation expect that Kerkez will indeed leave Bournemouth this summer, with Liverpool hoping that his next stop will be Anfield.
