Liverpool is in discussions to acquire the ‘world-class superstar’ Rodrygo from Real Madrid, who earns £205,000 per week, as part of a significant transfer deal.

According to TBR Football, the club is preparing for an active summer transfer window after clinching their second Premier League title in five years under manager Arne Slot, despite having made only one outfield signing since Jurgen Klopp’s departure last year.

The Reds aim to enhance their squad for the upcoming season, with Brazilian talent Rodrygo now identified as a potential addition.

The winger is reportedly dissatisfied at the Bernabeu, where he has made 267 appearances since joining as a youth player in 2019.

However, with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe last summer, Rodrygo has seen his playing time diminish, falling behind both Mbappe and compatriot Vinicius Jr. in the team’s hierarchy.

This situation has led him to consider a move away from Madrid, prompting Liverpool to reach out to his representatives in recent weeks to discuss the feasibility of a transfer.

While Rodrygo’s camp is open to the idea of leaving, they have expressed a preference to remain at Real Madrid.

With manager Carlo Ancelotti expected to depart at the season’s end, and Xabi Alonso likely to take over, Rodrygo intends to evaluate his role under the new coach before making a definitive choice about his future.

Real Madrid’s management has indicated that his position will be reviewed over the summer, leaving the door open for a potential transfer later in the window.

Liverpool is seeking to acquire a new striker and is also interested in a winger, given uncertainties surrounding the futures of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.
