Leeds is currently engaged in negotiations to sign a ‘complete striker’ and is in talks with both the player and his agent.

Leeds United is in discussions to acquire AJ Auxerre striker Lassine Sinayoko.

According to the French outlet Foot Mercato, Leeds United is negotiating to bring Lassine Sinayoko from AJ Auxerre to Elland Road this summer.

Manager Daniel Farke aims to strengthen his attacking options, and the Mali international presents a viable choice for the Whites.

They are in talks with Sinayoko and his representative but will encounter competition from Brighton & Hove Albion as well as clubs from France and Germany for his signature.

The 26-year-old ‘complete striker’ scored 12 league goals and provided four assists last season, playing a crucial role in helping Auxerre avoid relegation.

As a result, he ranked among the top 10 most impactful players in Ligue 1, making a move to the Premier League an attractive prospect for him.

Primarily a number 9, Sinayoko is also capable of playing on both wings and as a number 10, and his defensive contributions are qualities that Farke could utilize in an attacker.

In the 2024-25 season, he was involved in 13 league goals, netting five times and assisting on eight occasions across 34 league matches.

With 11 goals in 31 appearances for Mali, he could be an ideal fit for the Whites as they aim to solidify their position in the Premier League.

Leeds requires their forwards to consistently track back and assist defensively, and the Auxerre star aligns perfectly with their playing style due to his relentless work ethic in serving as the first line of defense.

He is anticipated to depart the Ligue 1 club this summer, and securing his services amidst competition would be a significant advantage for the West Yorkshire club.
