“I’ve been informed…” – Fabrizio Romano has an exciting transfer update for Liverpool supporters.

Fabrizio Romano has delivered some exciting news for Liverpool supporters in an update late on Monday evening.

The Reds have already secured the signing of Jeremie Frimpong just days after the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, and they are actively working to finalize what would be a club-record transfer for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz.

Another player that Richard Hughes seems to be making headway on for a potential acquisition is Milos Kerkez, with the previously mentioned reporter indicating in recent days that a deal is ‘definitely on’ for the Bournemouth left-back.

Romano provides a late-night update on Kerkez and Liverpool.

Romano reiterated this position in an update on his namesake YouTube channel last night, highlighting the Hungarian’s enthusiasm to join Anfield and the current status regarding how close Liverpool is to finalizing a transfer for him.

The transfer journalist stated: “The agreement with the player is finalized. I’ve been informed that Milos Kerkez is eager to join Liverpool.

“He’s genuinely excited about this opportunity, eager to be part of this incredible squad, believing that Liverpool was already impressive in the recently concluded season, and it’s set to be even better in the upcoming one with additional signings.

“There is a wonderful rapport at the moment between Liverpool and Kerkez. The agent is the same one who represents Federico Chiesa, so the relationship is very strong, and now Liverpool is progressing on this deal.”

Liverpool is now a highly appealing destination for top talents like Kerkez.

Wirtz has expressed his desire to join Liverpool this summer, and Kerkez appears to share a similar strong wish to be part of Arne Slot’s squad for the next season.

The eagerness of two of Europe’s brightest young talents to move to the Reds indicates that Anfield has become a highly attractive destination for elite players, who have undoubtedly been impressed by the club’s history and tangible success.

Nothing is certain in football, yet new signings are coming to Merseyside with the expectation that they will likely join a team that is poised to win major trophies, or at the very least, compete for silverware every year.

With both Wirtz and Kerkez eager to play for Liverpool, and the club appearing to be in an advanced stage of both transfer negotiations, it is hoped that it won’t be long before the final details of the two proposed deals are finalized and the players are seen at the AXA Training Centre in their striking red shirts.

Having spent a year as the Reds’ sporting director, Hughes is truly showcasing his capabilities in the transfer market and is doing everything possible to ensure that the Premier League champions remain firmly at the top of their game!
