Liverpool’s upcoming fixtures are set against Arsenal as the gap in the Premier League title race widens.

Following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Wolves on Sunday, Liverpool has established a seven-point lead over Arsenal in the Premier League standings.

The match saw Luis Diaz score the opening goal for Liverpool just 15 minutes in, followed by a penalty converted by Mohamed Salah shortly after the half-hour mark.

Although Matheus Cunha found the net for Wolves in the second half, Liverpool managed to secure the win.

This victory positions Liverpool to potentially extend their lead to 10 points over Arsenal, at least for the time being. Liverpool will be back in action on Wednesday night, while Arsenal is set to face West Ham next weekend.

Here are the next five fixtures for both Liverpool and Arsenal:

Liverpool – 1st (60 points)

– February 19 vs Aston Villa (A) at 7:30 PM – Premier League

– February 23 vs Manchester City (A) at 4:30 PM – Premier League

– February 26 vs Newcastle (H) at 8:15 PM – Premier League

– March 8 vs Southampton (H) at 3:00 PM – Premier League

– March 16 vs Newcastle (N) at 4:30 PM – Carabao Cup Final

Arsenal – 2nd (53 points)

– February 22 vs West Ham (H) at 3:00 PM – Premier League

– February 26 vs Nottingham Forest (A) at 7:30 PM – Premier League

– March 9 vs Manchester United (A) at 4:30 PM – Premier League

– March 16 vs Chelsea (H) at 1:30 PM – Premier League

– April 1 vs Fulham (H) at 7:45 PM – Premier League

Isaac Seelochan from The Liverpool Echo notes: “I believe Arsenal will manage to stay competitive for a while longer based on their upcoming fixtures.

Nottingham Forest away appears to be their most challenging match on paper, while encounters with Manchester United and Chelsea should not pose significant concerns for a team of Arsenal’s current quality.”

There will undoubtedly be some tension at Anfield, as Liverpool faces a more challenging set of fixtures compared to their opponents.

The upcoming away match against Aston Villa on Wednesday night will serve as a significant challenge for Arne Slot’s squad, especially after Manchester City’s impressive 4-0 victory over Newcastle on Saturday.

Nevertheless, the Reds find themselves in a strong position overall. The striker shortage at Arsenal should instill confidence in Slot’s team, suggesting that even if the gap narrows, Arteta’s side may find it difficult to maintain their momentum until May.
