Sky Sports: Liverpool’s target has reached a “full verbal agreement” ahead of a lucrative transfer.

Ayyoub Bouaddi is now closer to finalizing a deal with Manchester City this summer.

Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Sky Sports Germany, confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Lille midfielder has “reached a full verbal agreement” with the Sky Blues.

Although Liverpool had shown some interest in the midfielder, competing clubs are also keeping an eye on him.

The reported figures for Ayyoub Bouaddi are astonishing.

We are not particularly disheartened that Liverpool seems to be stepping back from this deal.

Without wanting to overly praise Trey Nyoni, it is undeniable that the young talent once again surpassed expectations with an outstanding first-half performance against Leeds over the weekend.

The 19-year-old was instrumental in Florian Wirtz’s goal, delivering an excellent crossfield pass to Jeremie Frimpong at the edge of the box, who then assisted our advancing German player.

His substitution at half-time perhaps highlighted his increasing significance to Andoni Iraola’s team, as Liverpool appeared to be less robust in the midfield after his exit.

Once again, although we do not intend to draw comparisons between Nyoni and Bouaddi, it is difficult not to be optimistic about Nyoni’s performances during pre-season.
