Liverpool make ‘serious move’ for £50m winger with impeccable World Cup record…

Liverpool has reportedly taken a “serious move” towards acquiring Crysencio Summerville during the summer transfer window.

According to sources close to CaughtOffside, the Merseyside club may soon intensify their interest in the Dutch winger following his standout performance at the World Cup.

The 24-year-old recorded four goal contributions in four matches before the Netherlands faced elimination in the round of 32 against Morocco.

Will Liverpool secure the signing of Crysencio Summerville?

With a reported price tag of £50m, the Dutch player is certainly a viable option in the current market.

However, this option is quite different from the high-profile talents Liverpool has been linked with this transfer window, such as Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande.

As the transfer window progresses, we may need to consider alternative options to ensure that Andoni Iraola is adequately supported in the forward position.

Currently, it appears that the club is focused on adding just one more winger to the squad.

Yankuba Minteh from Brighton is a more favorable transfer target.

While we appreciate Summerville as a player, he shares the same primary concern regarding Barcola’s potential move to L4—perhaps even more so. The Dutch international primarily plays as a left-sided forward, although he has considerable experience on the right flank as well.

Although there are indications of his goal-scoring ability from his recent season in English football, we remain uncertain if the West Ham star can be an elite playmaker.

This is not the case with Brighton and Hove Albion’s Yankuba Minteh, who is reportedly on Liverpool’s radar.

It’s reasonable to assume that Summerville’s performance would improve at a club with significantly higher overall quality than West Ham.

However, the statistical data strongly suggests that we should concentrate our attention on the Seagulls’ talented 21-year-old right winger.

By the way, did we mention that the Gambian is left-footed?
