Arsenal on verge of first summer signing as dream Arteta addition ‘jets in’ to sign contract…

Arsenal is on the brink of securing their first summer signing as the coveted addition for Arteta ‘jets in’ to finalize his contract.

The Gunners are just days away from making their first acquisition of the 2025 summer transfer window, with Martin Zubimendi arriving in London to sign his contract – and three more significant signings are expected to follow swiftly.

After finishing as Premier League runners-up for the third consecutive season, Arsenal is eager to enhance their squad this summer. While Mikel Arteta deserves recognition for establishing Arsenal as regulars in the Champions League, the push to transform them into trophy contenders will intensify this summer.

Although progress has been slow at the Emirates Stadium, the newly appointed sporting director, Andrea Berta, has been diligently working on several key signings.

Berta’s first major move for the north London club will be to finally secure Arteta’s long-term target, Zubimendi, whom he has pursued for several years.

The journey to acquire the 19-times capped Spain midfielder has been challenging. Last summer, Liverpool nearly signed him, but a last-minute change of heart led him to withdraw from the agreement.

Despite reports suggesting that the Gunners had reached an agreement as early as January, they have had to endure anxiety due to ongoing rumors of a transfer hijack by Real Madrid.

However, with Fabrizio Romano confirming last week that Zubimendi’s transfer to Arsenal is imminent, Sky Sports has reported that the 26-year-old has arrived in London to finalize his contract and complete his long-anticipated move to the Gunners.

Liverpool is on the verge of acquiring Bournemouth’s left-back Milos Kerkez, with Ornstein confirming that he is scheduled to travel from Belgrade to England today for his medical examination.

The summer transfer window has started off with excitement for the Reds, as Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong have both joined Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Additionally, Liverpool has announced the signing of young goalkeeper Armin Pecsi, but their ambitions do not seem to end there.

Following their Premier League title victory, Liverpool is determined not to rest on their laurels, as Arne Slot’s team continues to enhance their squad in pursuit of further success.

The Reds will once again compete in the Champions League, and they may be assembling a team capable of making a deep run in the tournament.

David Ornstein: Kerkez Set to Arrive in Liverpool Today

In a report on X, Ornstein has stated that Kerkez is expected to arrive in the UK from Belgrade today to complete his medical with Liverpool.

The Hungarian defender is set to sign a five-year contract for a fee of approximately £40 million.

“Milos Kerkez is set to arrive in the UK from Belgrade and undergo a medical today ahead of his transfer from Bournemouth to Liverpool.

The 21-year-old #AFCB left-back is joining #LFC for around £40 million, and the Hungary international is anticipated to sign a five-year deal at Anfield.”

Fabrizio Romano confirmed last week that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs, with Liverpool set to pay around £40 million to secure Kerkez’s transfer.

The Hungarian international will sign a long-term contract at Anfield, with his medical scheduled to take place in the coming days.

The signing of Kerkez, labeled as ‘elite’ by journalist Bence Bocsak, has raised questions about the future of seasoned left-back Andy Robertson.

BREAKING: Man Utd and Brentford have scheduled FINAL round of negotiations next week as regarding the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo. The upcoming talks are understood to be the decisive stage between clubs.

Man Utd will offer a total package worth just under £65m!
