Liverpool is reportedly planning a surprising summer acquisition of Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola, as stated by journalist Dan King.

The Premier League champions are eager to invest in another attacker while pursuing Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, and have identified Barcola as a potential winger option.

It is reported that Liverpool is ready to compete with Bayern Munich for the 22-year-old forward, who has lost his guaranteed starting position in PSG’s first team after the arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January.

Barcola also began on the bench during last month’s Champions League final against Inter Milan, but came on in the 67th minute to assist Senny Mayulu’s goal in the 5–0 victory.

According to King, PSG has set Barcola’s price at approximately £100m this summer, marking another significant investment for Liverpool in the transfer market.

The Reds are nearing a record-breaking British transfer for the ‘unstoppable’ Wirtz, who is expected to cost around £127m, and have also made substantial investments in his teammate Jeremie Frimpong.

An additional £40m is allocated for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, who is believed to have already settled personal terms for his move to Anfield.

Liverpool may generate funds for further acquisitions by selling striker Darwin Nunez, who has interest from the Saudi Pro League and is anticipated to leave this summer.

Barcola transferred to PSG from Lyon in the summer of 2023 and was a key figure in Luis Enrique’s attack until Kvaratskhelia’s arrival during the winter transfer window.

The ‘unstoppable’ Frenchman has made 97 appearances for the Parisians so far and has a contract that runs until June 2028.
