Report: Arsenal have reached a personal agreement with a £200,000-a-week ‘superstar’, with Arteta advocating for the transfer.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal has successfully negotiated personal terms with RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko.

The Gunners are reportedly making progress towards securing the Slovenia international this summer, as discussions between clubs are currently underway to finalize his move to the Emirates.

The primary concern in negotiations is Sesko’s transfer fee, as Leipzig has set their asking price at €80m (£67m), which corresponds to his release clause.

Arsenal is believed to be working to lower that fee, with discussions having taken place in London recently to align the valuations more closely.

Arsenal is Actively Pursuing Benjamin Sesko Deal.

They are optimistic about signing the 22-year-old forward.

As reported by CaughtOffside, there is a sense of optimism from all parties that a comprehensive agreement will ultimately be achieved for Sesko’s transfer to Arsenal this summer.

In recent days, Leipzig’s general manager Marcel Schafer and Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta have met in London to deliberate on Sesko’s transfer, as he is a key target for Mikel Arteta.

Sesko was strongly linked to a move to the Emirates last summer, prior to signing a new five-year contract with Leipzig, which keeps him at the club until June 2029.

However, a year later, the 22-year-old ‘superstar’ is now anticipated to depart and may seek wages of approximately £200,000 per week at his next club.

Arsenal is also expected to announce Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi as their first signing of the summer, having reached a preliminary agreement with the Spain international last month.

The Gunners are likely to trigger his €60m (£51m) release clause, positioning him as Declan Rice’s new midfield partner for the upcoming season.
