Liverpool now ready to submit bid to sign “unstoppable” £43m winger, he’s better than Munoz…
Liverpool is now prepared to make a bid for the “unstoppable” £43m winger, who is considered superior to Munoz – a perspective worth noting.
Reasons for Liverpool to pursue the “unstoppable” £43m winger following the Diomande setback.
This versatile forward would justify every penny spent. Unfortunately, reports surfaced on Sunday evening indicating that he has opted for PSG as his next club instead of Anfield.
Liverpool is set to target another winger from the Bundesliga.
Diomande is not the only top-tier winger on Liverpool’s list this summer.
Anfield’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, has already disrupted Newcastle United’s plans to sign Victor Munoz, with the Spanish winger having secured a £35m transfer to Liverpool. However, the potential departure of Mohamed Salah necessitates the acquisition of even more talent.
The long-term injury of Hugo Ekitike due to a ruptured Achilles has further complicated the situation, but it appears that Liverpool is gearing up to add another forward to their roster.
As reported by Fussball Daten, Liverpool is ready to approach FC Koln for Said El Mala this summer, although this move hinges on their attempts to secure their ‘primary targets’ like Diomande.
With a €50m (£43m) valuation, El Mala would be significantly less expensive than the Ivorian. While Munoz has already been integrated into Iraola’s left side, Liverpool is focused on acquiring dynamic wingers capable of playing in various positions.
Given that their pursuit of Diomande has unfortunately stalled, El Mala would serve as an ideal alternative, and FSG is indeed prepared to act swiftly to outmaneuver competition from clubs such as Brentford, Brighton, and Newcastle United, the latter of which has reportedly made their own offer in recent days.
Reasons why El Mala could be an upgrade over Munoz for Liverpool.
Recognized for his “phenomenal” attacking prowess by talent scout Jacek Kulig, El Mala is a direct winger who consistently poses a threat in the final third, demonstrating both clinical finishing and creativity.
He is regarded as one of the most thrilling ball carriers in Europe, with data analyst Spencer Mossman referring to him as “the most direct winger in Europe” and analyst and reporter Bence Bocsak labeling him as “unstoppable.” Although El Mala may not possess the same relentless running style as Munoz, he is more precise in front of the goal and younger as well. This indicates his potential to become a superstar for a club like Liverpool.
Liverpool has signed Munoz with the hope that he will develop into a superstar in the coming years, but the fact that El Mala might already be at a higher level suggests that signing him could be a significant win for the club.
However, it is worth noting that the Reds are also pursuing Diomande, who is their primary attacking target this summer, and while El Mala may not have the same immediate impact, he certainly has the potential to evolve into a superstar under Iraola’s guidance.
Consider Antoine Semenyo, a young winger from Bristol City who became a standout player under Iraola at Bournemouth. El Mala has the potential to replicate that success, given his natural goal-scoring ability and creativity that could help him establish himself at Liverpool.
While Munoz has the capability to succeed as well, El Mala may very well be the more gifted player, having outperformed him last season. His versatility and comfort across the front line could lead to such a positive impact that the Liverpool fans might quickly overlook Diomande, should he be brought in as an alternative.
Last season, Munoz managed only six goals in La Liga. He has much to offer, but Liverpool’s performance dipped from expectations last year, and El Mala could be the key to restoring them to their former glory.
