Breaking news: Sunderland is poised to announce yet another deal as Florent Ghisolfi and Kristjaan Speakman ramp up their efforts.

Following their record-breaking £30m acquisition of Habib Diarra, some might have anticipated a slowdown in Sunderland’s spending.

However, that is not the case, as the new Director of Football, Florent Ghisolfi, and Kristjaan Speakman are intensifying their activities.

Since the signing of Diarra, Sunderland has also secured Noah Sadiki from Union Saint-Gilloise, outmaneuvering Leeds United for yet another transfer target this summer.

The central midfielder joins for approximately £17.5m, bringing Sunderland’s total summer expenditure to around £50m in what has been a remarkable transfer window so far.

However, Speakman and Ghisolfi are not finished yet.

Even after investing around £50m, they appear set to spend an additional £20m to secure an attacking player in a surprising deal.

Sunderland finalize swift agreement to acquire Chemsdine Talbi

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Sunderland has successfully negotiated a deal to bring Chemsdine Talbi from Club Brugge, with an announcement regarding the winger’s signing expected soon for €23m (£20m) plus additional bonuses.

This move further demonstrates the Black Cats’ ambition, as the 20-year-old is anticipated to improve significantly with more experience.

Described as “electric” by U23 scout Antonio Mango last season, Regis Le Bris is set to welcome a player who could quickly become one of the fastest in the Premier League, having recorded a quicker time than Micky van de Ven last season.

Moreover, the winger has a keen eye for scoring, having netted seven goals across all competitions last season, and he already boasts Champions League experience.
