Christian Horner investigation: Revised timeline provided amidst reports of rejected settlement offer…
As reports of a settlement offer being denied surface, an updated timeline has been disclosed in the ongoing investigation concerning Christian Horner. The investigation progresses, offering further insights into the situation.
Red Bull Racing CEO and team principal, Christian Horner, is facing an investigation by parent company Red Bull GmbH following a complaint about his behavior.
Recent reports suggest that Red Bull has expedited the timeline of this investigation in light of new allegations emerging from the Netherlands. Despite these developments, Horner vehemently denies all accusations made against him.
The decision regarding the Christian Horner investigation outcome was initially anticipated to be revealed just before the Bahrain Grand Prix. However, recent reports indicate that a resolution may be reached sooner than expected.
Red Bull hastens Christian Horner investigation conclusion
As per a report from the Times, the British newspaper, Red Bull is now expediting the investigation process following allegations from Dutch publication De Telegraf that the misconduct involved sexual behavior.
PlanetF1.com attempted to verify De Telegraf’s assertions but was informed by a Red Bull representative that “it would not be suitable for us to provide any comments until the investigation has concluded.”
According to The Times, the recently published report has prompted Red Bull GmbH to expedite the process “in order to put an end to the disruption and uncertainty.”
Last week, Horner met with an independent lawyer appointed by Red Bull at a London location and provided his perspective on the matter for a duration of nine hours. Despite admitting that it was a “distraction,” the Red Bull boss affirmed that he had no intentions of resigning.
Additionally, De Telegraf alleges that a settlement offer of £650,000 was extended to the female employee just before the news became public. However, Horner’s lawyer, as stated by the Daily Mail, has refuted any claims of such an offer being made.
During the launch event, Horner emphasized the team’s unwavering focus on the upcoming season when speaking to media outlets, including PlanetF1.com.
He mentioned that despite some distractions, the team remains united and dedicated to the task at hand. Horner expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received and reiterated his primary focus on the upcoming season.
Additionally, he acknowledged an ongoing investigation that he is actively cooperating with, all while diligently preparing for the challenges ahead.
