The club has pinpointed Sučić of Real Sociedad as a target after Jaissle expressed interest.

Eddie Howe’s tenure at St James Park concluded last week, and the Magpies are looking to appoint the Al-Ahli manager, with both parties reportedly reaching an agreement.

While Newcastle United has yet to officially announce Howe’s successor, the German coach is already focused on restructuring the team.

On Monday, Sport Witness reported that Jaissle is eager to bring Anis Hadj Moussa from Feyenoord to the Premier League, showcasing his admiration for the player.

The incoming manager has also marked the Croatia international as a key target for the Tyneside club.

According to Sportske Novosti, Luka Sučić is considered the ‘big wish’ of the new Newcastle United manager.

Sučić previously played under Jaissle at FC Liefering and Red Bull Salzburg, where they collectively participated in 73 matches, 68 of which were with Salzburg.

Jaissle aims to reunite with his former player at Newcastle and has requested that the club pursue his signing this summer.

Newcastle United is committed to satisfying Matthias Jaissle’s wishes and is actively working on this transfer, aiming to reach a consensus with both Luka Sučić and Real Sociedad.

La Real acquired the Croatian from the Austrian club for a reported fee of €10 million in 2024. He has made 68 appearances over two seasons and is under contract until 2029, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €10 million.

Sučić is a vital component of Real Sociedad’s strategy, and he is content at the club, leading Sportske Novosti to question whether La Real will allow him to depart this summer.
