3/10 dud stinks as 8/10 star shines – Leeds 3-3 Liverpool player ratings.

Liverpool let slip a two-goal advantage, resulting in a 3-3 draw against Leeds United, with the home team equalizing in the sixth minute of injury time thanks to Ao Tanaka.

Despite a fast start from the home side, Liverpool took control of the match within 15 minutes, dominating possession and play. They were unlucky not to score when Curtis Jones hit the crossbar with a right-footed shot from outside the area. Overall, the first half was rather average, with Liverpool failing to produce significant chances.

The visitors began the second half strongly, as Hugo Ekitike netted his first goal in nine matches. A poor back pass from Joe Roden allowed the French striker to capitalize. Just 90 seconds later, Leeds found themselves two goals down when Ekitike scored again, taking advantage of Gabriel Gudmundsson’s loss of possession on the left flank, with Conor Bradley’s cross being converted by Ekitike for 2-0.

Liverpool appeared to be in a comfortable position until Ibrahima Konate conceded a needless penalty, which Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted with ease. Energized by a triple substitution, Leeds quickly found an equalizer through Anton Stach, who displayed excellent footwork before finishing to ignite the crowd at Elland Road.

However, Leeds were hit with a late blow when, with just 10 minutes remaining, Dominik Szoboszlai’s composed finish restored Liverpool’s lead. It seemed that would be the final goal until Tanaka’s late equalizer at the back post during stoppage time ensured the points were shared.

Liverpool Player Ratings

GK: Alisson Becker – 6/10

He was mostly a spectator as Liverpool dominated possession.

RB: Conor Bradley – 6.5/10

Returned to the lineup after injury and saw plenty of the ball in the attacking third, but failed to create any real threats to Leeds. He received a yellow card before halftime.
