Liverpool Have Finalized an Agreement to Acquire ‘Dynamic’ Forward in 2027 – Report

Liverpool Sign Senegalese Talent Sidy Barhama Ndiaye in Long-Term Development Strategy.

Liverpool has made a significant advancement in its youth recruitment strategy by finalizing a deal to acquire the highly regarded Senegalese winger Sidy Barhama Ndiaye, who has been training at the AXA Training Centre in preparation for his long-term transition to Merseyside.

The 15-year-old forward, already considered a future star, has joined the Reds’ youth program for a brief training period under the FIFA-sanctioned development initiative.

While he cannot officially become a Liverpool player until he turns 18 in December 2027, an agreement has been reached in principle.

Key Target Recognized Early

Ndiaye was initially identified by Liverpool’s expanding scouting network during his impressive performances at the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, where he shone for Senegal.

His technical skills, remarkable speed, and ability to make decisions under pressure quickly established him as a key target for the club.

Sporting director Richard Hughes, who has implemented a proactive recruitment strategy since joining Anfield, continues to prioritize securing high-potential talent for the future.

The acquisition of Ndiaye follows a series of significant youth signings, including Golden Boy nominee Armin Pecsi from Puskás Akadémia and Will Wright, a prolific forward acquired from Salford City despite interest from Arsenal.

Both players have already been incorporated into Liverpool’s elite development squad.

As reported by Bence Boscak for Anfield Watch, Ndiaye is currently at the club as part of a structured development plan that reflects the strategy Chelsea employed with Kendry Paez, whose transfer from Independiente del Valle was completed years before his official arrival.

“At just 15 years old, Ndiaye cannot officially join Liverpool until he turns 18, which will be on December 31, 2027,” the report states.

“Nevertheless, Liverpool has already reached a preliminary agreement to sign him, similar to the arrangement made for Kendry Paez’s transfer to Chelsea from Independiente del Valle, which was finalized two years before his arrival this summer.”

“According to FIFA regulations, he is permitted to spend up to eight weeks each calendar year at the club before he can officially finalize his transfer.”

During a friendly match for Liverpool’s U18s against Fleetwood, Ndiaye entered the game shortly after the hour mark. He made an instant impact with a powerful run that resulted in Joshua Sonni-Lambie scoring with a precise shot into the top corner.

Slot’s Liverpool: Building for the Future

Under the leadership of Arne Slot, who secured the Premier League title in his inaugural season, Liverpool is merging immediate goals with long-term sustainability.

Ndiaye’s acquisition symbolizes a broader strategy to cultivate a pipeline of elite talent prepared to perform at the highest level when needed.

Ndiaye is expected to remain in Merseyside for an additional two weeks before heading back to Senegal. He is likely to return later in the year as part of Liverpool’s gradual integration plan.
