Munoz – 9, Barcola – 7: rating Liverpool players in spirited Brentford win
A hard-fought 2-1 win for Liverpool.

Victor Munoz – 9
Despite being at the receiving end of some physicality from the Brentford players, Munoz didn’t give up or stay down at all. The Liverpool winger was a buzzing figure going forward, as he completed five dribbles to be a livewire on the right-wing. Munoz was also able to come clutch with an expert finish for his goal, which sparked the Reds’ comeback to help them take proper control of the match.

Jeremy Jacquet – 9
Another inspired defensive effort from Jacquet against a formidable Premier League opposition. The French defender was able to keep Igor Thiago quiet with some sturdy defensive work and he made 14 defensive contributions, which included four tackles and also winning 10 duels. Jacquet didn’t get impacted by the head-butt from Yarmoliuk that got the midfielder sent off, being rock solid in the second half.

Alexander Isak – 8
Isak was able to mark his return to action for Liverpool in style! He had a bit of a quiet first half, not really being able to get all that many chances. However, the Swedish forward was much more proactive after the break and proved his efficient finishing skills with a great goal to put his side ahead against Brentford. He’s bringing consistency to his product with his impressive work in the 2026/27 season and scores another vital away winner for Liverpool.

Florian Wirtz – 8
A much, much improved performance from Wirtz after his horrific showing against Man City last week. He was a much more unpredictable figure in the opposition half, tricking the Brentford midfielder with his movement and passing. The German midfielder was able to create nine goal scoring chances for the Reds, and bagged an assist for Munoz’s goal as well.

Milos Kerkez – 7.5
That was a really solid defensive display from the Hungarian full-back against a triky opposition. Kerkez was a hard-working figure on the left flank for Liverpool, being able to win five duels and also make seven defensive contributions to dominate things on his half.

Bradley Barcola – 7
Barcola had a really eventful clash against Brentford and was actually at the end of a lot of promising stuff. He had a huge chance to score in the first half, missing a one-v-one opportunity against Caiomhin Kelleher.

However, Bradley was impressive with his link-up play and played a great pass to set up Isak’s winner in the second half. Barcola also missed a huge goal-scoring chance late in stoppage time, as his wait for a league goal continues.
