Liverpool is shifting focus to acquire the ‘world’s best striker’ instead of Isak.

Liverpool is now targeting the ‘leading striker worldwide’ instead of Isak.

Liverpool is reportedly considering a move to acquire Victor Osimhen, described as the ‘best striker in the world,’ instead of Isak.

The club aims to enhance their attacking options with proven talent following their recent Premier League title victory.

With a strong performance throughout the season, maintaining the top position since early November, Liverpool, under the management of Arne Slot, is poised to invest significantly in the summer transfer window to sustain their dominance.

Osimhen’s future will be a key topic this summer, as the team seeks a striker to complement Mohamed Salah’s scoring prowess.

According to talkSPORT, Liverpool plans to actively pursue new signings to defend their Premier League title, with Osimhen identified as a prime target, having received accolades from Nigerian coach Daniel Ogunmodede.

As Trent Alexander-Arnold prepares to leave after his contract ends, and with potential departures of backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher and striker Darwin Nunez, Liverpool is expected to allocate funds for a new forward.

The report suggests that Osimhen could be the solution to their goal-scoring challenges, as Salah has been the standout scorer this season with 33 goals, positioning Osimhen as a leading candidate to spearhead the attack at Anfield next season, potentially surpassing the interest in Alexander Isak.

A savvy business move this summer could see Liverpool clinch their third title in seven years, with Osimhen being a wise acquisition, especially since he has also attracted interest from fierce rivals Manchester United.

Osimhen netted 26 goals in 32 appearances for Napoli during their Scudetto triumph in the 2022/23 season, and despite being loaned to Galatasaray at the beginning of the current campaign, he has been in excellent form in Turkey, scoring 33 goals in 37 matches across all competitions.
