Liverpool is reportedly considering a potential £70m transfer for the 26-year-old player who made headlines this week.

According to reports, Liverpool is interested in a £70 million deal for a ‘dangerous’ 26-year-old who made history recently.

The Reds are looking at a possible summer acquisition of the England international, who has a £70m release clause in his contract with Crystal Palace.

The atmosphere at the upcoming match against Crystal Palace will be particularly festive, as Liverpool will receive the Premier League trophy, while the Eagles celebrate their first major trophy win, thanks to Eberechi Eze’s goal at Wembley.

Eze, who scored the decisive goal during their last visit to Anfield in April 2024, has been a target for Liverpool for some time.

However, they have yet to initiate contact regarding a transfer, with Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest currently leading the pursuit.

Liverpool’s chances may hinge on the Eagles’ requirement for the full release clause to be paid upfront, which could complicate Spurs’ efforts.

If their pursuit of Wirtz falters, Liverpool may intensify their interest in Eze, who has been lauded by his manager Oliver Glasner as a ‘dangerous’ player and an ‘unbelievable finisher’, having scored 13 goals and assisted 11 this season.

Liverpool’s interest in signing Crystal Palace’s number 10 may hinge on their efforts to acquire the highly sought-after Florian Wirtz, for whom Richard Hughes has allegedly made a solid offer.

While Eze may not be Liverpool’s primary target this summer, should the Bayer Leverkusen talent become unavailable, the club might then consider the Eagles’ playmaker.

As a player in the prime of his career who has demonstrated his ability to make a significant impact in English football and qualifies as homegrown, it’s understandable that the 26-year-old has attracted interest from multiple clubs, especially following his impressive performance at Wembley over the weekend.
