Arsenal moves nearer to securing the ‘best striker in the world’ as salary demands of £300,000 per week come to light.

Arsenal aims to sign the ‘world’s leading striker’ with a lucrative offer of £300,000 a week.

Arsenal is reportedly offering a weekly salary of £300,000 to secure the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, who is regarded as the ‘best striker in the world’.

The club is making strides towards acquiring Gyokeres from Sporting CP, as they seek to bolster their attacking options after another trophyless season.

Despite having a solid defense, Mikel Arteta’s team has struggled in the final third, particularly with key players like Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus sidelined due to injuries.

The absence of a natural striker has been a significant concern, especially after allowing Eddie Nketiah to leave last summer.

Reports from A Bola (via Sport Witness) indicate that Arsenal’s contract offer for Gyokeres amounts to approximately £300,000 per week before tax, translating to around £7 million after tax, with an estimated take-home pay of £135,000 weekly.

Gyokeres, who has been lauded as ‘the best striker in the world’, may be returning to England this summer. Although Arsenal has not yet made a formal offer to Sporting, they are preparing a bid of around £63 million.

The Swedish international has had an impressive stint with Sporting since his transfer to Portugal, making him a target for several clubs.

Gyokeres could provide the natural center-forward presence that Arteta requires to convert opportunities into goals.

It remains to be seen if he can replicate his scoring success in the Premier League, but his prolific record in both Portugal and the Champions League speaks volumes.
