Liverpool has identified six key targets for new signings in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The club is focusing on acquiring a striker, a central defender, and a left-back, as reported by Football Insider.

One of the most significant changes expected is the exit of Darwin Nunez, who has had difficulty adapting to Arne Slot’s tactical approach.

The Premier League champions are looking to replace him with a more dependable striker, given the evident lack of offensive threat this season, heavily relying on Mohamed Salah for goals.

Slot aims to rectify this issue and has shown interest in Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as a potential new number nine at Anfield.

Additionally, the urgency to find a new left-back has increased due to concerns regarding Andy Robertson’s performance and future at the club.

Although Robertson is still a vital player, his inconsistent displays have led the club to pursue a younger, more dynamic option, with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez being the primary target.

Furthermore, despite recently extending Virgil van Dijk’s contract, Liverpool is still in the market for a new centre-back to enhance their defensive depth, with names like Dean Huijsen and Marc Guehi being considered as suitable candidates.

Interestingly, despite the anticipated departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, the club is not prioritizing the acquisition of a new right-back.
