Liverpool is reportedly offering £34 million to sign an ‘ideal’ replacement for a significant team member.

According to sources, Liverpool intends to submit a £34 million proposal to secure an ‘ideal’ replacement for an important team member.

Reports indicate that Liverpool is set to make a £34 million bid for an ‘ideal’ target to fill the void left by a key player.

Liverpool is preparing to make a £34 million bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the 26-year-old defender has confirmed his departure, and Real Madrid is reportedly interested in signing him as a free agent.

In light of this, Liverpool is actively seeking a suitable replacement and has identified Frimpong as an ideal candidate.

The club plans to submit a formal offer of approximately £34 million, despite Frimpong’s contract running until 2028.

The 24-year-old has had a successful stint at Leverkusen, contributing significantly to their recent achievements, including a Bundesliga title and a DFB Pokal.

While he has excelled as a right wing-back under Xabi Alonso, his limited experience as a traditional right-back raises questions about his fit for Liverpool’s defensive needs.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool will make a definitive move to secure his services in the upcoming transfer window.

After suffering a 3-1 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League, Liverpool is set to compete against Arsenal next weekend. Having already secured the title, the Reds have little to gain in the remaining matches this season except for their pride.
