Fabrizio Romano has indicated that a significant transfer announcement regarding Liverpool is imminent, as a world-class player travels to Liverpool for discussions.

The Italian journalist has shared crucial updates about Liverpool’s transfer activities, as well as those of Real Madrid and Chelsea.

He has been closely following the situation surrounding Dean Huijsen, and it appears increasingly likely that the Bournemouth defender will be joining Real Madrid.

Although the talented young Spanish international was also on the radar of Liverpool and Chelsea, Romano reports that the Reds have withdrawn from the negotiations.

On his YouTube channel, he emphasized that a confirmation for Huijsen’s transfer to Real Madrid is expected shortly.

Consequently, Liverpool and Chelsea are now likely to pursue Ajax defender Jorrel Hato as their primary target.

Romano elaborated on the Huijsen situation, noting that Liverpool had exited the discussions over 24 hours ago, recognizing that the player was prioritizing Real Madrid.

He stated, ‘Now it’s on them to finalize everything with a confirmation expected very soon.’

Hato is certainly on the radar of both Liverpool and Chelsea, as both clubs value the player and have been keeping tabs on him.

Negotiating with Ajax will be challenging, given Hato’s significance to the club, but he has emerged as a candidate for both teams as they prepare to miss out on Dean Huijsen.

Hato may actually be a more suitable option for Liverpool than Huijsen, as the Netherlands international offers greater versatility, capable of playing both as a center-back and a left-back, which could be advantageous for Liverpool as they consider a long-term replacement for veteran center-back Virgil van Dijk.

However, it can be argued that Slot may benefit from a younger and more effective alternative to Andrew Robertson on the left for the upcoming season.
