Liverpool is prepared to start negotiations for a £50 million signing, and all stakeholders are optimistic that a consensus will be achieved.

Liverpool is set to initiate discussions with Bournemouth regarding a £50 million transfer for Milos Kerkez, with all involved parties optimistic about reaching an agreement.

The club is looking to enhance its squad, which currently leads the Premier League by 12 points under Arne Slot’s management, although some adjustments are still needed this summer.

Liverpool has shown interest in Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen due to concerns over Joe Gomez’s fitness and the uncertainty surrounding Virgil van Dijk’s contract situation.

Recent reports from TBR Football indicate that Liverpool is prepared to start negotiations for the Hungarian defender, Milos Kerkez.

Graeme Bailey, Chief Correspondent at TBR Football, has confirmed that Liverpool is keen to engage in talks for the international player.

The Reds have been evaluating several left-back options as Slot seeks a replacement for Kostas Tsimikas, with the new signing expected to challenge Andy Robertson for a starting position.

Liverpool has also considered Fulham’s Antonee Robinson, Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Ajax’s promising talent Jorrel Hato, but they are now prioritizing a deal for Kerkez.

Bournemouth is willing to let the Hungarian leave this summer for £50 million, significantly higher than the £15 million they paid to acquire him from AZ Alkmaar in July 2023.

Liverpool, however, values Kerkez at around £40 million, yet sources indicate that there is a mutual belief that a deal will be finalized in the upcoming weeks.

It has been reported that Liverpool has conducted thorough research on Kerkez, including discussions with representatives of his fellow Hungarian international, Dominik Szoboszlai, and are ready to move forward.

Bournemouth has secured a new player, Julio Soler, who made his debut on Sunday during the Cherries’ 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Liverpool is also optimistic about finalizing another transfer.

Reports indicate that Liverpool is willing to exceed their previous club-record transfer fee to acquire the Swedish international, with Darwin Nunez likely to be transferred out.

Additionally, Liverpool may include several players in a deal with Newcastle, with Gomez, Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott, and Ben Doak identified as possible trade options.
