Arsenal to launch stunning bid for ‘top target’ as £180m double deal chased…

Arsenal is set to make a significant initial offer for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, while also being in a strong position to acquire Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United, as reported.

The Gunners have already secured their first signing of the summer transfer window, with Piero Hincapie joining permanently from Bayer Leverkusen for €40 million (£34.5 million) plus bonuses. Manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta have prioritized the acquisition of a new left winger and central midfielder next.

Arsenal holds Rogers in high regard, believing he has the potential to become Arteta’s primary left winger and can also serve as a No 10 when necessary.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal has identified the England star as their ‘top transfer target’ and is preparing to present a substantial offer to Villa to initiate negotiations.

Arteta’s team is ‘ready to finalize a deal’ for Rogers, who is expected to cost at least £80 million. Some reports indicate that Arsenal may need to propose £100 million to secure an agreement with Villa.

Sky Sports reported on June 19 that Arsenal is ‘exploring’ a deal for Rogers and has intensified their interest.

We confirmed on Tuesday that the 23-year-old has been ‘impressed’ by Arsenal’s proposal as Berta aims to secure him ahead of Manchester City and Chelsea.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has mentioned that there is a ‘very strong chance this deal will materialize’.

Arsenal is also actively pursuing Guimaraes, having previously submitted a £55 million bid that was unsuccessful. Sources have indicated that a new proposal of £80 million is being prepared.

CaughtOffside reports that Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in Guimaraes, but Arsenal’s interest is described as the ‘most concrete’.

Their report further states that Newcastle values the Brazilian at £100 million, although it seems unlikely that Arsenal will meet such a price.

Arsenal is in a prime position to secure Bruno Guimaraes, having conducted the most groundwork on a potential deal and emerging as the frontrunners to acquire him.

On Thursday, we disclosed that Arsenal and Liverpool are among six clubs approached by intermediaries, as Guimaraes seeks to investigate a possible transfer.

Arsenal’s interest is quite strong, whereas Liverpool has only made an inquiry and is focusing on other priorities.

Guimaraes’ future will be influenced by that of his teammate, Sandro Tonali. Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are competing for the £100m-rated Italian, and Newcastle will not permit the sale of both midfielders in a single transfer window.

Should Tonali remain at Tyneside, Guimaraes’ likelihood of departing will rise considerably.

In other news, a reporter has indicated that Arsenal has an unexpected interest in a midfielder from Liverpool.
