Report: Real Madrid is reportedly prepared to finalize a €50m agreement with Liverpool.

Real Madrid seems set to agree on a €50m deal, potentially with Liverpool. This development has been anticipated for quite some time.

The relationship between Liverpool and Real Madrid continues to evolve. Whether it’s Real Madrid acquiring a player from Liverpool or targeting someone on Liverpool’s radar, the connection remains strong.

Even with Liverpool’s latest acquisition, Victor Munoz, they have had to deal with a buyback clause in his contract with Osasuna that involves Real Madrid. They seem unable to escape this situation.

However, it looks like we might finally witness some action between Real Madrid and Liverpool, which is quite unusual.

According to reports from Sport, Los Blancos are willing to sell Eduardo Camavinga as they look to create room and financial flexibility for new midfield signings. José Mourinho has approved the transfer, allowing Camavinga to leave for approximately €50m.

Liverpool is among the interested parties and has reportedly initiated discussions regarding a potential deal. It remains unclear what the response was or if they will proceed, but Real Madrid is open to an agreement if Liverpool expresses interest.

The critical factor is whether Camavinga himself will consent to a transfer. The report indicates that he is inclined to resist a sale, as he wishes to remain and compete for his position.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid may not permit him to stay, especially if they are keen on signing a player like Enzo Fernandez.

This situation could take some time to resolve. However, if Camavinga becomes amenable to a transfer, Liverpool is likely to act swiftly.

Eduardo Camavinga: Overview of the Situation

Real Madrid Career and Performance

As of June 22, 2026, Eduardo Camavinga is a 23-year-old central midfielder playing for Real Madrid. Since his transfer from Rennes in 2021, the tactically adaptable player has amassed several prestigious trophies, including two Champions League titles. However, his domestic season in 2025/26 has been quite challenging.

Facing stiff competition for a regular starting position, he made 43 appearances in all competitions, mostly coming off the bench.

He accumulated 2,198 minutes of playtime, scoring two goals and providing one assist, all while enduring significant criticism, especially after receiving a late red card during Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final elimination against Bayern Munich.

International Status and World Cup Involvement

Camavinga is a senior member of the French national team, having previously contributed to Les Bleus’ journey to the finals of the 2022 World Cup.

Despite his considerable natural ability and versatility on the field, he was unexpectedly left out of manager Didier Deschamps’ final 26-man squad for the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, attributed to a decline in his domestic performance. He is contracted with Madrid until 30 June 2029.
