Fabrizio Romano identifies Liverpool’s next target following the Victor Munoz transfer.

Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that Liverpool intends to acquire another winger after finalizing the deal for Victor Munoz. The transfer expert mentioned Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola as two players that the Reds are interested in.

It was widely speculated that Victor Munoz would join Newcastle United; however, Romano confirmed late Wednesday night that the Osasuna winger is heading to Liverpool instead.

The transfer expert shared on X at 11:28 PM on June 17: “EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool are poised to sign Víctor Munoz with HIJACK completed, HERE WE GO!

“Newcastle had been in advanced discussions for several days, but #LFC entered the negotiations, verbally agreed on terms with Muñoz, and activated the €40m release clause.

“Everything is set for the signing, and another significant surprise is on the horizon.”

Liverpool has been in search of a winger to fill the void left by the departing Mohamed Salah.

Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola have been on Liverpool’s radar for some time, and many fans at Anfield may be curious if the club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), will still pursue either the RB Leipzig or Paris Saint-Germain winger.

Romano has indicated that despite securing Munoz, Liverpool remains focused on acquiring another winger.

The transfer expert has highlighted Diomande, but he has also suggested that PSG winger Barcola could be the next target for Liverpool, who recently appointed Andoni Iraola as their manager.

Liverpool may pursue either Yan Diomande or Bradley Barcola next.

Romano stated on his YouTube channel: “Additionally, it’s important to note that many Liverpool fans have been asking me after I revealed this news on my channels. Does this mean that the deal is closing the door on signing another winger? The winger Liverpool wanted was Victor Munoz.

“My response is no. My answer is that in Richard Hughes’ plan, they are doing an excellent job. Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards are effectively planning their signings and keeping things under wraps until we have exclusive news like today.

“However, they are working behind the scenes to add at least one more winger.”

“Victor Munoz is undoubtedly regarded as a remarkable talent with significant potential, presenting a market opportunity due to his release clause, making the deal relatively quick to finalize, prompting Liverpool to take action.

“However, it’s important to consider the salary aspect. Victor Munoz currently earns a modest salary at Osasuna, which makes it a financially viable opportunity for the Reds to secure swiftly.

“Liverpool’s intention is to enhance their squad by adding another winger.

Romano further stated: “Liverpool cannot focus on just one name.

“While Victor Munoz is one option, Diomande remains on the list of potential targets.

“I want to reiterate a name I’ve been mentioning consistently regarding Liverpool, and that is Bradley Barcola, who continues to be valued by the club.

“We must not overlook Barcola, who is also sought after by Arsenal, although their primary target remains Morgan Rogers.

“Arsenal is determined to pursue Morgan Rogers aggressively, and that is the current expectation.

“Barcola is still under consideration, but there are no immediate developments.

“Conversely, for Liverpool, Barcola is still a name to monitor.

“We will see how things unfold with Diomande, but it is certain that Liverpool will be active in the market for wingers.”
