Haaland is recognized as a Leeds United supporter, and fans have often dreamed of him joining the Whites at some stage in his career.

He was born in Leeds while his father was there, and although he is currently beyond the club’s reach, the Manchester City striker has consistently expressed his affection for the Yorkshire giants.

However, during the festivities, Haaland’s affection for Leeds was evident when a Whites supporter approached him on the Wembley steps.

As Haaland collected his medal and descended the steps, a fan in the crowd began chanting “Leeds, Leeds, Leeds” at him.

The Norwegian turned around, pointed at the supporter, and responded, “’Til we die.”

Haaland again did not shy away from expressing his love for Leeds and was delighted to join in when the Whites fans began singing the club’s name.

Given his status in world football and his rising value, it is improbable that Haaland will ever play for Leeds.

Nevertheless, Leeds fans can find comfort in knowing that the best striker in the world remains a devoted supporter of the club.

His record against the Whites is not impressive yet.

Haaland has triumphed in all three matches he has played against Leeds while representing Manchester City. Nevertheless, he has only found the net twice – scoring a brace during the 2022/23 season.

In the subsequent two matches, he did not score and was absent from Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Leeds at Elland Road earlier this month due to an injury.

Leeds will be optimistic about having more chances to compete against Haaland next season by ensuring their Premier League survival in the final seven matches of the season.
