Two Liverpool stars are reportedly on the verge of finalizing new contracts, according to exclusive information.

Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all approaching the end of their current agreements with the club, leading to intense speculation regarding their futures.

The trio has been the subject of transfer rumors, with Alexander-Arnold linked to Real Madrid, while Van Dijk and Salah have also garnered interest, as they are eligible to negotiate pre-contracts with overseas teams.

Al Hilal is reportedly in a strong position to acquire Salah if he does not secure a new contract with Liverpool, as all three players are nearing the status of free agents.

However, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has disclosed that two of these players are close to extending their contracts with Liverpool.

Robinson indicated on the Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that the agreements for Van Dijk and Salah are nearly finalized.

He noted that Alexander-Arnold’s situation remains uncertain, and he does not anticipate significant changes even if some players depart.

This update aligns with previous reports from Mick Brown, who stated that Liverpool does not expect a definitive decision from Alexander-Arnold until the season concludes.

Robinson commented, “From what I’m hearing, it seems that Van Dijk and Mo Salah are as good as done, while Trent’s situation is still up in the air, which we’ve suspected all along.

“Retaining Mo Salah for another two years makes perfect sense; he deserves to be compensated accordingly as the best player in the Premier League.

The same goes for Van Dijk, who, despite his age, remains a key figure. I don’t foresee a complete overhaul of the forward line, but there will be some movement, especially with the new manager in place.”

He has acknowledged the impact of Jurgen Klopp’s work, stating that this is not his team but Klopp’s.

While he is implementing some changes and making minor adjustments, every victory or positive outcome is attributed to Klopp’s influence, with him merely adding his personal touch. Looking ahead, he is expected to make new signings and implement further changes.

He believes that significant alterations to the Liverpool squad are unlikely this summer.

Arne Slot may need to brace for the possibility of losing Trent Alexander-Arnold. Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher has advised against seeking a replacement if Alexander-Arnold departs, citing the promising emergence of Conor Bradley.

Many supporters and analysts have expressed confidence in Bradley’s ability to rise to the occasion, as he has consistently performed well when given the opportunity.

While negotiations for Van Dijk and Salah are progressing, there remains some uncertainty regarding the future of the academy graduate.

Nevertheless, with the team performing strongly under Slot and currently leading the Premier League by seven points, a significant summer overhaul may not be essential.
