‘On their list’: Liverpool are more likely to sign £100m Brazil star than Rafael Leao this summer – Report…

Liverpool is expected to prioritize the signing of the £100 million Brazilian player over Rafael Leao this summer.

Liverpool is anticipated to pursue several signings during the upcoming summer transfer window.

This summer, Liverpool appears to have a higher probability of signing the £100 million Brazilian talent compared to Rafael Leao.

Last summer, the club’s sole acquisition was Federico Chiesa, a decision that appeared quite bold at the time.

However, under the management of Arne Slot, the team is now on the brink of clinching the Premier League title.

To enhance their squad, Liverpool will need to make new additions this summer, with expectations that Slot will bolster his attacking options ahead of the next season.

While there has been some talk regarding AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, journalist Ben Jacobs has indicated that there are currently no negotiations between the Portuguese forward and Liverpool.

Instead, the club is more inclined to target a dedicated centre-forward, with a Brazilian player from the Premier League being among their potential targets.

Joao Pedro of Brighton is emerging as a strong candidate. The Brazilian has had a remarkable season, netting eight goals and providing seven assists across all competitions, which has drawn significant interest from various clubs.

Pedro, often likened to Roberto Firmino, would be an excellent fit for Liverpool.

At just 23 years old, he possesses the attributes necessary to thrive at a club of Liverpool’s stature, making it likely that he will depart Brighton soon.

Jacobs has downplayed the possibility of Liverpool signing Leao, asserting that the club is more likely to pursue Pedro.

He stated to GiveMeSport: “Leao has never really pushed to leave Milan, which complicates matters.

My information suggests there’s no significant progress between Leao and Liverpool.

If they are looking for a number nine, it’s more probable they will consider a more established Premier League player first, with Joao Pedro being one of the names on their radar.”

As for the financial aspect, Brighton is known for being a challenging club to negotiate with when it comes to player transfers.

Liverpool successfully completed the signing of Alexis Mac Allister; however, their efforts to acquire Moises Caicedo were unsuccessful, as he was ultimately transferred for a British record fee.

Brighton & Hove Albion is expected to maintain high asking prices for their key players, with reports from TBR Football indicating that they are seeking nearly £100 million for Pedro.

We can verify that Liverpool has shown interest in the Brazilian forward, while Chelsea, Newcastle United, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring his situation.

It is yet to be determined which club, if any, will meet that asking price this summer.
