Arsenal have pulled off a remarkable coup by securing two high-profile signings for an astonishing £136 million. This ambitious move is sure to send shockwaves through the Premier League, particularly unsettling Liverpool and Manchester City.

Reports suggest that Arsenal are making bold moves in the transfer market, with talks underway to secure the signings of a highly skilled striker and a talented defender.

This double coup is expected to raise eyebrows at Liverpool and Manchester City, as the Gunners aim to strengthen their squad significantly.

Under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal has already established themselves as genuine contenders for the title. Their impressive performance last season proved that they are not a one-season wonder.

If they manage to defeat Manchester City on Sunday, especially on their home turf, they will undoubtedly boost their confidence and believe that they have a real shot at winning their first Premier League title since 2004.

Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, are likely to remain strong contenders for the title as long as he remains in charge. On the other hand, Liverpool will face uncertainty when Jurgen Klopp departs at the end of the season.

Nonetheless, Liverpool has assembled a squad capable of contending for major titles, and if they secure the services of Xabi Alonso, they will aim to uphold their high standards.

Arsenal, however, could disrupt both clubs’ plans with a potential £136m double transfer, as reported by four sources.

Arsenal is looking to strengthen their squad with a top-tier striker to complement their attacking duo of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. Additionally, they are seeking defensive reinforcements to solidify their already impressive backline, which has conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal’s potential move for Sporting CP players

According to various sources including the Sun, Record, Caught Offside, and talkSPORT, Arsenal is considering a move for players from Sporting CP.

The Sun reports that Arsenal has been keeping an eye on centre-back Ousmane Diomande, who is also a target for Chelsea. Diomande’s current contract with Sporting CP includes a release clause of €80m/£69m, but the Sun suggests that a deal could be negotiated for around £50m with additional bonuses.

Record goes a step further by stating that Arsenal has informed Sporting CP of their intention to submit a £51m bid.

Chelsea are willing to pay the same amount, but a move to Arsenal, who are progressing well, is preferred.

Diomande, aged 20, is a right-footed centre-half. He would provide strong support for Willian Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, and would be an improvement over Jakub Kiwior.

If Diomande joins, Ben White can continue playing as a right-back when Saliba or Gabriel are unavailable.

Conversations have started regarding Gyokeres.

According to talkSPORT, Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting is Arsenal’s top choice for a striker.

Acquiring a top-notch centre-forward is Arsenal’s main goal this summer. While players like Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen have been mentioned, Gyokeres is now the main target.

Viktor Gyokeres has been in sensational form this season, scoring 36 goals and providing 14 assists in just 39 matches for Sporting.

With a release clause of €100m/£86m in his contract with the Portuguese club, it is clear that he is highly valued. Despite interest from Chelsea, Sporting is determined not to let him go for anything less than the release fee.

Reports suggest that Arsenal is also interested in signing Gyokeres, with director Edu reportedly in talks with Sporting about a potential summer transfer.

If Arsenal were to sign both Gyokeres and Diomande, it would cost them a total of £136m.
