Report: Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign a 6 ft 3 player alongside Gyokeres, and are currently negotiating personal terms.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal has settled on a fee with Salford City for 17-year-old striker Will Wright.

The Gunners are on the verge of enhancing their youth squad with an exciting new addition, as discussions regarding personal terms for Wright’s move to the Emirates are ongoing.

Wright is regarded as one of the most promising attacking talents in the nation, having scored over 50 goals across all levels for Salford last season.

It is believed that Arsenal has outbid Premier League competitors Liverpool for his signature by offering a more substantial transfer fee to Salford.

Agreement reached with Salford for the 17-year-old.

Wright made his senior debut for Salford during their heavy 8-0 FA Cup loss to Manchester City in January and has since played two additional matches in League Two.

The 6ft 3in striker has made four senior appearances for Salford so far and has had a strong pre-season, scoring four goals in three matches, including a brace against FC United of Manchester in a 2-2 draw.

Wright is anticipated to play for both Arsenal’s U-18s and U-21s next season, and he will also be eligible to participate in the UEFA Youth League.

Arsenal’s summer transfer activity has accelerated this month, with confirmed deals already in place for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, and Noni Madueke.

The arrival of Valencia centre-back Christian Mosquera is also on the horizon, while an agreement has been reached for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.

The Swedish forward is expected to sign a five-year contract with the North London club after Arsenal agreed to pay a total of €73.5m (£64m) following extensive negotiations with Sporting.
