A ‘world-class’ striker is eager to join Arsenal and is prepared to travel to the UK ‘immediately’, according to reports.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has received a boost in his pursuit of a new striker, as Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic is believed to be ready to ‘immediately pack his bags’ to join the north London club on a discounted deal this summer.

The Gunners have been searching for a striker for several months, especially after injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in the winter led to a significant decline in their form in the Premier League.

Players like Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko, and Alexander Isak have all been mentioned as potential signings for the Emirates Stadium, but Vlahovic’s willingness could make him a top priority.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Vlahovic is keen to play in the Premier League, believing he possesses the ‘desirable characteristics’ to thrive in the English top-flight, which aligns with his playing style.

With Juventus looking to negotiate with an English club, it is suggested that he would ‘immediately pack his bags’ for north London if a suitable offer arises.

The ‘world-class’ Serbian striker’s contract expires next summer, and with contract negotiations with Juventus not progressing, he may be on the move this summer to ensure the Serie A club can secure a transfer fee.

Football director Andrea Berta is in search of a striker capable of scoring 20 goals in a season, with other players currently ahead of Vlahovic on the shortlist.

However, with the former Fiorentina star eager to impress Arteta, this could be a deal worth pursuing.

A starting offer of €50 million (£43 million) might suffice to finalize his transfer, as Arsenal aims for a bargain while Juventus seeks a substantial fee for his services.

Vlahovic made a name for himself during the 2019/20 season, netting six goals in Serie A for La Viola, before going on to score 38 goals in 58 Serie A matches prior to his transfer to Juventus.

Scoring 10 goals in 28 league matches this season indicates that Juventus is close to securing a spot in the Champions League.

While he has performed well this season, a new opportunity might lead him to leave the Italian league for a chance in the English capital.
