Sky Sports: Arsenal has reached an ‘agreement’ with the ‘unstoppable’ striker, paving the way for a transfer.

Arsenal’s target, Sporting ace Viktor Gyokeres, has verbally agreed to a potential move to the Emirates, as reported by Sky Sports’ Sacha Tavolieri.

The Gunners have been associated with various strikers, including Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak, but they may now hold an edge in the competition for Gyokeres.

Arsenal Target Gyokeres Gives Green Light.

Arteta is in search of a new striker this summer.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Tavolieri confirmed that Gyokeres has given the go-ahead for a transfer to Arsenal, as the team continues its quest for a new forward. He stated:

Referred to as “unstoppable”, Gyokeres has emerged as one of the top strikers globally, scoring an impressive 54 league goals and providing an additional 12 assists in only 52 appearances.

Fabrizio Romano has previously suggested that he is set for a transfer this summer, with Sporting looking for offers around €65 million (£55 million) to approve a deal.

In the meantime, Arsenal continues to evaluate their choices, even though Gyokeres has given a verbal agreement.

An insider revealed that the Gunners are eager to secure Leipzig’s Sesko as their primary target – the Slovenian is said to have an €80 million (£67 million) release clause in his contract, and discussions are currently taking place between the clubs.

Nevertheless, Arteta and his team have not yet reached a personal agreement with the 21-year-old, and they might explore other options if their efforts to acquire Sesko’s signature do not succeed.
