Liverpool is currently considering a move to sign Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh this summer, as reported by Stretty News.

The Reds are anticipated to have a very active transfer window, having already secured the signing of Netherlands international Jeremie Frimpong, while Trent Alexander-Arnold’s transfer to Real Madrid has also been finalized.

However, further additions in the attacking department are expected, given the uncertain futures of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa, and Cody Gakpo. The club has now pinpointed the 20-year-old Gambian as a target.

Liverpool Aims to Sign Minteh

The explosive talent joined Brighton last summer.

Minteh, who has been labeled as ‘electric’ this season, is becoming a player that Liverpool executives are keen on following his debut season in the Premier League.

The Gambian joined the Seagulls in a £30m transfer from Newcastle, as the Magpies sought to alleviate their FFP issues, and he made a significant impact at the Amex Stadium with seven goals and four assists in his first season across all competitions.

Now, Liverpool is evaluating him, while Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in acquiring his services this summer.

A lightning-quick winger, Minteh prefers to operate on the right side and cut in onto his left foot, reminiscent of star player Mohamed Salah, making him a potential ideal understudy to the Egyptian.

Liverpool is already eager to bolster their attack this summer, with the Reds nearing a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz in a club-record transfer – Fabrizio Romano has indicated that an agreement is in place with the player, who is prepared to travel once a deal is finalized between the clubs.

Arne Slot is also aiming to recruit a new striker, with Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike emerging as a target for a significant financial deal.
