Newcastle United has been informed that it will cost €40m to secure a replacement for Tonali – the Magpies have already made contact.

The club can acquire their own version of Declan Rice to take Tonali’s place for £40.

Sandro Tonali is anticipated to depart from Newcastle United this summer, and Inter Milan is closely monitoring the situation.

Tottenham is making significant progress in acquiring the midfielder, having submitted an initial bid for the Italian player. Sport Witness has reported on this, noting that Roberto De Zerbi is eager to collaborate with his fellow countryman in London.

Currently, the Magpies are expected to generate substantial revenue from the sale, potentially nearing €100m, with Spurs leading the charge against their rivals.

This development has piqued the interest of Inter Milan, who are considering a sale.

Stankovic on the move

TuttoSport reports on Inter’s summer activities, indicating that Marco Palestra is likely to join soon, while Curtis Jones is also being targeted.

Nottingham Forest is pursuing Davide Frattesi, and Aleksandar Stankovic is also on the market.

Inter recently activated their buyback option for the Serbian player. Although Cristian Chivu is familiar with his talent from their time together in the Primavera, a sale could still materialize.

Consequently, Inter is anticipating an approach from Newcastle United, as they are aware of the developments surrounding Tonali.

Inter has set Stankovic’s price at €40m, which is the amount the Magpies need to finalize the transaction.

Eddie Howe’s team made contact earlier this month.

Inter seeks capital gain

The Italian champions invested approximately €25m to reacquire the talent from Club Brugge. Should they sell him, Newcastle United must ensure a capital gain for them.

This is why €40m is likely the upper limit for Inter, and the Magpies might secure him for a lower price.

Stankovic has demonstrated his capabilities in the Champions League, and the Premier League could be his next destination.

Tonali’s departure would provide him with regular playing time and facilitate his growth.
