Steven Gerrard shuts down TNT Sports commentator with four-word remark after Liverpool goal
Alisson Becker 7

Exposed for the Atletico opener but great save to deny long-range Alvarez effort soon after. Solid enough with handling and distribution.

Ronald Araujo 8

Attempted to get a partnership going with Bradley Barcola down the right with some decent touches, and excellent backheel created leveller. Defended resolutely as Atletico pressed for equaliser.

Jeremy Jacquet 6

First experience at this level and more than held his own and one good intervention as Atletico pressed final quarter.

Virgil van Dijk 6

Usually reliable diagonals were curiously off radar and dangerous game leading dodgy offside trap first half before being better after interval.

Milos Kerkez 6

Lost Llorente with lazy defending for the Atletico opener and no real sign of understanding with Rio Ngumoha down left for most part, but improved after break. Subbed.

Dominik Szoboszlai 6

Started well by creating chance for Isak but then guilty of dwelling on ball far too often until doing very well to force and score the equaliser. Kept on going.

Alexis Mac Allister 7

Aware to drop back into defensive positions when required and physicality matched that of Atletico, and a thumping strike for the Liverpool second. Booked and subbed.

Bradley Barcola 6

Quiet in the opening period on full and home debut before prompting two good saves from Jan Oblak and starting to show threat. Missed big chance second half before injury forced substitution.

Florian Wirtz 7

Strong beginning but then faded before reappearing around half-hour mark and becoming increasingly influential. Linked well with Isak in particular.

Rio Ngumoha 6

Found the wily Llorente a difficult opponent and often double-marked, but some moments of promise particularly either side of half-time. Subbed.

Alexander Isak 6

Dragged shot wide early on and looked sharp when in possession but service intermittent at times. Worked very hard. Subbed.
